That’s why we’ve created a wellness-focused itinerary that’s meant to get you out to some of Yates County’s gems, while doing some great things for your mind, body and soul.

Kick off the morning with a fitness class at the Yates Community Center | 467 N Main St., Penn Yan, NY

Monday-Friday, 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Stop into the Yates Community Center for a strength and balance, Pilates or yoga class to wake up those muscles and start your day. And don’t worry, you don’t have to be a fitness expert to join or enjoy these classes – the Center prides itself on building and fostering a sense of community, and you’ll have the support of the instructor, staff and fellow class participants. While you’re there, ask about upcoming events or activities you may want to mark on your calendar for future scheduling.

 

Recover with a meal from Amity Coffee | 3 Main St., Penn Yan, NY

Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday-Sunday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

After that fitness class, you’ve probably worked up a sweat and an appetite! Stop into Amity Coffee for a meal to replenish and restore yourself. They’re brewing and serving warming espresso and coffee drinks (which you may be able to get iced as well), teas, Kombucha and more. They’ve also got croissants, toasts, sandwiches, bagels and waffles that are great for refueling your body. So, order up, drink up, eat up and let those endorphins keep flowing!

View an exhibit and take a class at the Arts Center of Yates County | 127 Main St., Penn Yan, NY

Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Now it’s time to engage some different muscles as you continue your day’s wellness journey: Stop into the Arts Center of Yates County, and let your curious mind wander as you take in the artwork on display. And if you happen to visit during a scheduled art class, sign yourself up and create your own work of art! (You can also register for a class in advance.)

Wine tasting and meal at Fox Run Vineyards | 670 State Rt. 14, Penn Yan, NY

Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Keep the relaxing mood going and venture to Fox Run Vineyards for a wine tasting. Pair your wine with flavorful cheeseboards, flatbreads, salads, sandwiches and more. The cherry on top of your wine-and-dine experience is enjoying your meal on their newly rebuilt lake view deck, or overlooking the vineyards from the patio or lawn.
