Wineries with Restaurants On Site Along Seneca Lake

Seneca Lake is the largest of the Finger Lakes

The size and depth of Seneca Lake makes an ideal micro-climate for grape growing in the Finger Lakes region. It comes to no surprise that the lake is home to over 50 wineries, with over 20 residing in Yates County.

If you’re visiting the Finger Lakes to taste it’s vast selection of award-winning wines, it’s important that you also plan your food stops. We’re all about pairing foods and cuisine with wine to create the utmost best experience.

The culinary scene in wine country is exceptional, but if you’re looking for dining options at a winery, we have that too!

Here’s a list of wineries on the west side of Seneca Lake in Yates County that serve food:

Veraison’s Resturant at Glenora Wine Cellars

A farm to table style restaurant, Veraison’s at Glenora Wine Cellars focus is on local and seasonal flavor.

They work with over 30 farms in the Finger Lakes, so you know you’re going to get a true taste of the land. Veraison’s has been recognized as one of America’s “Best Winery Restaurants” by Food & Wine, and named to the list of USA Today’s 10 Best Winery Restaurants.

They are open for lunch and dinner, but be sure to check their website for their hours and reservation policies as they change seasonally.

In September, they host their popular weekend event, Leaves and Lobsters. Enjoy live music, a lobster bake, and unbeatable views of Seneca Lake.

The Café at Fox Run Vineyards

The seasonal café at Fox Run serves lunch and uses high quality, locally sourced ingredients in their thoughtful and inspiring menu.

You can enjoy a meal or share a charcuterie board on their lake view deck or patio. They are open daily during the spring, summer, and fall. Reservations are not required.

Check out their elevated Food & Wine Experience, which occur on select Fridays July-October and require advance reservations.

If you’re looking for something in the evening during the summer, their popular event series, Grapes, Griddles, and Fiddles is a great option. Enjoy special grilled cheese sandwiches, wine, and live fiddle music.

Sans Dumplings at Kemmeter Wines

This small take-out only kitchen is located at boutique winery, Kemmeter Wines.

The owner’s wife Imelda is the chef who created this concept to showcase her Chinese heritage. All items on the menu are homemade and fresh. You can call ahead or order while you’re visiting the winery. Open Thursday-Saturday. Check out their menu!

Tabora Farm & Winery – Deli, Bakery, and Market

One of the newer wineries on Seneca Lake, Tabora highlights the owner’s life in South Africa.

A true wine and food destination, this rural paradise features a from-scratch menu offering delicious food and baked goods. From sandwiches and salads, to quiche and a variety of ready-to-eat items, you can guarentee a fresh, flavorful meal. The café is open daily, with the exception of seasonal hours in the winter. Seating is available both inside or outside.

This is also a great option if you’re looking for something quicker or to-go without compromising on quality.
