DINING

Main Deck
Enjoy fresh and savory creations along with local Penn Yan heritage when you dine at this newly opened restaurant. The menu combines the chef’s Southern cuisine influence with Main Deck’s farm-to-table approach, where ingredients are sourced from many of the area’s local farms. Guests will enjoy stunning views of Keuka Lake from the restaurant’s dining room, outdoor deck and lakeside patio. Fun fact: The boat on the ceiling of the restaurant is an homage to the Penn Yan Boat Company and the integral role that the region played as a major lake port for commerce and shipping.

Sapalta

Come for the food, stay for the view: here’s another fabulous lakefront dining option – this time, set along the shimmering waters of the Seneca. Located in Plum Point Lodge, Sapalta offers breakfast, dinner and wine sourced locally from farmers and wine makers. Keep an eye out for their popular chef and winemaker dinners, where Sapalta dishes are paired with a different wine for each course. And if you happen upon a wine selection you enjoy, be sure to stop by Plum Point’s wine and gift shop to see if it’s available for purchase.

18th Amendment Kitchen & Cocktail Bar

A visit to this Main Street eatery is perfect for capping off a day of indulgence, or getting a fun evening started! In a setting perhaps reminiscent of a 1920s speakeasy, the 18th serves up seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, seafood catches and prime meat selections. Refreshing and expertly crafted cocktails are also on the menu, but feel free to enjoy them openly in the restaurant – prohibition is long gone!

WINERIES AND BREWERIES

Hermann J. Wiemer Vineyard & Winery

Partake in the region’s beloved pastime of wine tasting when you visit Hermann J. Wiemer. Founder, Hermann Wiemer, hails from one of the best Riesling producing areas of the world, Bernkastel, Germany. Make a reservation for your group to visit the tasting room where they’re uncorking bottles of reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines.

Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake Wine Trails

If you can’t decide on just one vineyard or you’re looking to sample fermented grapes from different vines throughout the region, then making your way along the Keuka Lake or Seneca Lake Wine Trail may be a great option for you! Savor some of the region’s best wines while taking in gorgeous views – this is just a taste of what gives the Finger Lakes its charm.

Tin Barn Brewing

If hops are more your style, Tin Barn Brewing has what you’re looking for. Founded in 2015 by a local father-daughter team, this farm brewery specializes in some of the juiciest IPA’s and beer in New England. Enjoy their ales, IPAs, smoothie and fruited sours, and more while taking in views overlooking Seneca Lake. Pair your beverage with a meal or snack for a casual and relaxing experience.

INNS AND B&BS

The Mansion at Keuka Lake

Feel as though you’re among the 1800’s upper crust when you stay at this historic inn. The Mansion was built by John Nicholas Rose, who became one of the area’s most prominent and wealthy citizens. The 2.5 story mansion is a Greek Revival architectural masterpiece, featuring a massive two-story portico composed of four Ionic columns, a spacious porch entrance and classic interior detail. Although it has since been restored, it retains its 19th-century charm and details. Guests can choose to stay in Mansion or Inn rooms, and they’ll also enjoy lunch and dinner at the Mansion’s on-site dining area.

1897 Beekman House Bed & Breakfast

This beautifully restored Victorian manor – originally built for one of Dundee’s most prominent residents, T. DeWitt Beekman – retains its original front porch, pocket doors, hardwood floors, high ceilings, stained glass windows, richly toned woodwork and grand staircase, giving guests a glimpse into the past while appreciating the home’s beauty in the present. Gourmet, three-course breakfasts are served daily for guests – and with the B&B owners being veteran sommeliers and restaurant managers, rest assured that your dining experience will be nothing short of impeccable!

Finger Lakes Bed & Breakfast

You know by now that you can’t go wrong when it comes to the Finger Lakes – and this B&B is no different! The property, once the centerpiece of the almost 80-acre Hutton Farm, is an elegant, lovingly maintained 1840s-era Italianate style home that is perfectly situated on nearly five acres of expansive lawns and rambling woods. Each of the Finger Lakes Bed & Breakfast guest rooms offers its own unique ambiance and timeless décor – sleep in comfortable King and Queen beds covered with fine linens, and enjoy private baths and quiet, mini-split air conditioning to ensure a relaxing night’s rest. Awake to the aroma of award-winning baked goods and hearty breakfasts, accompanied by the Finger Lakes B&B’s very own fresh ground local coffee and tea.
